Fans by the thousands flock to Jacksonville Beach for the Springing the Blues Festival. They’re locals who live down the street or “across the ditch.” Others travel stretches of I-95 and I-10 from near and far. All make their way to the Seawalk Pavilion for the one-of-a-kind experience that only Springing the Blues offers. With as many as 150,000 fans heading to the festival and limited parking, you might want to get creative with your mode of transportation.
Parking’s available but limited, so beach locals may want to use a little pedal power.
Flip flops, sneaks, chucks, boots – whatever your kicks, beat feet down the street or the beach for hassle-free transport. We’ve got plenty of cold beverages to cool you off when you arrive.
Hop on the Beaches Trolley for a comfy ride to the festival and skip the search for parking! Park at the South Beach Regional Shopping Center and trolley will drop you on Third Street just a block from the festival site. Three trolleys will run Friday 4-10:30, Saturday 11 a.m. – 10:30 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. Check with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority for more info, including fares.
A new way get around Atlantic, Neptune and Jax Beach, Beachside Buggies will pick you up and deliver you to the festival in an open air electric cart. Best part, rides are free. Drivers work for tips so be sure to show some love. Download their mobile app from the Apple app store (here’s the link) and make your request!
Do Mother Earth and your fellow festival fans a favor, reduce traffic and leave more parking for others by carpooling. While you’re on the way, belt out the blues with your own version of carpool karaoke. Share the video on your favorite social channel with #springingtheblues so we can all enjoy the fun!
